Parker Palmer | Tragic Gap

Here at "in a space between" I like to post content that seems to engage in a meaningful way as I and others live in this space. That may read as a very vague statement. The truth is we are living in a space between so this is a platform to share what is both happening on this space-between-living and what ideas, images, and information may help other engage this space between in a helpful and hopeful way.

On author whose words I have come to respect and receive as wise counsel is Parker Palmer. His books Courage to Teach, Let Your Life Speak, To Know as We Are Known, and a Hidden Wholeness (longer list but these are the ones I've been in) are filled with deep insights that, generally speaking, point to how we can live as whole people when we live in and create safe places for True Self (soul) to emerge. So often we silence the True Self and live divided lives because it seems "safer" to do so. The tensions and challenges of living in the space between often leads to so much divided living--we have backstage lives and then on-stage lives.

Take a look+listen to Parker here...
